Therefore, Minuteman Press trades only with companies who comply with applicable environmental legislation and requirements.
The stock used by Minuteman Press is sourced from sustainable forests managed by Australian environmental legislation compliant organisations.
Digital press toner Xerox printer toner employed in digital printing is manufactured using an embrittling agent with the result that a reduction of 22% in energy employed is made. The toner creates no hazards, exposure issues, toxicological complications and requires no special precautions. Ecotoxicity is zero and no special disposal actions are required.Offset press inks No inks are used in the digital print process. Xerox toner composition is >60% Resin, <15% Frits, 5 - 10% Polyethylene wax, 3 - 8% Pigment (CMYK), <15% other additives.
Where available the inks used in offset printing are Pur-Bio soya based, formulated with soy and other vegetable oils. Pur-Bio is hydrocarbon solvent free.Specific Minuteman Press supplier criteria are as follows:

- The adoption of all practical measures to prevent pollution
- Communication of corporate environmental policy to all personnel
Recycling
Minuteman Press recycle 93.4% of all waste generated. The target is 100% subject to the availability of facilities for the recycling of all plastics. |
